Institute of Advanced Biomedical Engineering and Science
The Institute of Advanced Biomedical Engineering and Science (ABMES) was opened in 2001, based on the activities of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. ABMES has research facilities for the Ph.D. course in four fields: (1)Techno-surgery, (2)Genetic Medicine, (3)Artificial Organs and Organ Transplantation, and (4)Regenerative Medical Engineering.
Also, the Institute has a one-year course in systematic biomedical engineering
and basic medicine for medical- and pharmaceutical-related researchers
Institute of Laboratory Animals
This is a shared facility in which test animals, needed for medical education
and research, are housed and cared for in order to help perform animal
experiments successfully and safely.
