School of Nursing, Field of General Education

Field of General Education consists of five academic areas: Sociology, English Studies, Physiology, Law and Educational AI.

Sociology: Students not only gain an understanding of humans as social beings living alongside others, but also acquire the knowledge and skills essential to nursing practice, such as communication, interpersonal relationships and group support.

English Studies: Students not only acquire the ability to read, listen to, write and speak English, the international language, but also learn about the history and culture underlying texts written in English, thereby refining their human sensibilities and international outlook.

Physiology: The aim is to cultivate the ability to understand vital functions and accurately grasp pathological conditions by learning the fundamental structure and function of the human body from the perspectives of anatomy and physiology.

Law: The aim is to enable students to understand legal responsibilities in nursing practice and the protection of patients’ rights, and to provide effective and appropriate nursing care based on an understanding of legal principles.

Educational AI: Students learn how to utilize AI for learning and recognize its limitations. Through an understanding of the academic and social aspects of healthcare, they develop skills required of healthcare professionals as users of AI.
