Physiology is an essential and important field in basic medicine to learn “body structure” (function of living body). The research of physiology aims at elucidating the mechanism of life phenomena ("the principle of life").
The Department of physiology (Division of molecular and cellular physiology) focuses on analysis at the cellular and molecular levels, and is conducting functional analysis of genes and proteins, with the post-genomic science currently in rapid progress in mind. We hope to contribute to medicine and physiology through research using genetic engineering and RNA interference.
